The developer does not seem interested in doing this thing right. This add-on went through several initial changes before it worked as intended. Now the option named "Darker Selector Bar" can not be turned off.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.3).

The option 'Darker Select Bar' appears on two options tabs for Folder Pane and Thread Pane. Testing with Thunderbird 3.1.4 & 3.1.6 indicates that both options work correctly and can be turned on and off. Which option does not work correctly for you (Folder Pane or Thread Pane)? Is the problem affected by any of the other options you have selected? Please can you provide more information? (preferably by e-mail to dw-dev@gmx.com).

After several updates, version 3.2 is finally ready for prime time. Everything seems to work as the author intended. Unfortunately, Account Colors does not integrate with other add-ons. If CompactHeader is installed, none of the options in the Message Pane tab will work. If Manually Sort Folders is installed, the account font style and size cannot be changed in the Folder Pane tab.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.2).

I have installed Account Colors and the latest versions of CompactHeader and Manually Sort Folders, in combination, and in different installation orders, but I cannot reproduce the problems you mention. Everything works fine. Can you provide any more details about your setup?

Version 3.0 is a big improvement, but in the Compose window it colors the "From" field and miniaturizes the text in the field. This extension needs more work.

This was fixed in Version 3.2. The latest version is 3.3 which is compatible with Thunderbird 3.1.

This extension shows promise, but it needs more work. For some reason, it greys out the menu bar. The option to show a "darker select bar" in the folder pane is enabled by default, and cannot be disabled. Some of the other functions don't seem to work. And the options window needs to be redesigned using tabs. There is so much information in the window that the accounts at the top overlap.

I don't agree with the review that complained about the pale colors. The colors need to be pale. They are just fine as they are.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0).

Release 3.0 fixes all of these problems. The Options dialog now has a tabbed scrolling interface.
