Session Manager
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great product, coordination tool. I use this for coordinating people and machines First I Coordinate the Machines. I add Session Manager add-on to all machines with Firefox installed on them. Then I follow those Wonderful instruction for customizing the toolbar (View, Toolbars, Customize) and add the Session Manager, Save the current browsing session, Button, onto the toolbar. That finishes Step 1 of coordinating the Machines. Now, the next step, adding a Sessions Folder shortcut, onto the Desktop. Each Machine, needs a Sessions Folder shortcut, on the Desktop. I do this by Running Firefox, opening several tabs, (that have the information that the Marketing or Legal Dept. needs), then click on the Save the current browsing session Button, on the toolbar and Save Session, and give the Session a name to be Saved As.Then Now I click the Save the current browsing session Button again an then click Open Session Folder. The Folder Browser opens now in a new Window. I look carefully at the Address in the Folder Browser's Window, I navigate Up one level, moving the mouse back over the "sessions" folder, I right click on it and Send To, Desktop(create shortcut). I do that for All the Machines and that finishes Step2, Coordinating the Machines.
The hard part now is coordinating the People to be able to share sessions. Now if someone, in the team, is putting together a PowerPoint or legal arguments, with Session Manger, sessions that cover the talking points and/or legal arguments, can easily be shared clicking Save Session. Open Session Folder. Then in the Folder Explorer window that opens, the HTML file of the session that was saved. e-mail or USB memory stick that session to the other Machines Session Folder shortcut. That really helps with allowing the team People and Machines, at least the machines, to all get on the same page and/or pages here.
I really think this deserves Five plus stars. I especially like/love the integrating with the Toolbar instructions, explaining how to customize the Toolbar, with the beautiful graphics and clear directions, they alone are Five Star tutorials. I really even liked figuring out how to better, get the machines coordinated. It Really is a Five Plus Star add-on.
Salutations for making a wonderful product that helps make People, Machines and Things better coordinated.
Cousin It, signing off, Thing's saluting and waving goodbye too.
An extremely exceptional Add-On, Thanks.
