I've been using IE View for years, and really like its simple functionality. Unfortunately, it doesn't support MultiProcess, and according to Mozilla's developer blog, extensions using old methods that don't support MultiProcess won't be loaded in Firefox starting in version 57.

For now, this means you can't have this extension enabled and have Firefox use MultiProcess features. Soon, it'll probably mean this extension will not work at all.

I needed for one of my customer to have some URL + bookmarks to open in Internet Explorer for custom portals.

It work Perfectly both with bookmarks, links or directly in the URL field.

好用,最新版的Firefox也可以使用,方便.

As long as it at least worked, I didn't mind the (disabled) adware included too much, but now it doesn't even work at all. There are lots of other choices that are still updated.

Note: When a plugin is signed, that means it's signed by mozilla.org, not by the original developer.

To be honest, I only did a very short test for this addon with EN-US SeaMonkey 2.33.1 (German Language pack) Gecko/20100101 Build 20150321194901 (Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit (with a test profile) during my reviews for <https://wiki.mozilla.org/SeaMonkey/AddonCompat#2.33_.28and_later.29>. Result: Always Error Message "Can not find IE". All with this add-on is suspicious:
a) Developer mentioned on page is EmmaSawyers, but developer has changed
b) In install.rdf Creator homepage is http://ieview.roub.net (again a different name) tells about the change
c) Homepage linked in AMO http://ppclick.com/ only shows a "coming soon". Page is from
14. November 2012 12:03:31
d) Support page: see (c)
e) In add-on-settings I found "Use 'WizeShoppy'" checkmark without any explication. Seems to be addware with
bad WOT rating. Well, it's unchecked by default, but ...
f) all on AMO site is suspicious:
f1) Works with "Firefox 3.6 - 26.*" - that is rather outdated
f2) Timestamp "March 12, 2013" - that is rather outdated

And this add-on is really "signed"?

Rather nasty now, was good; but now a ad carrier and really really annoying.

AVOID

The spyware was added without warning or notification, and NEW spyware CAN AGAIN be added without ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER. The despicable person(s) who took over this add-on and sneaked spyware onto hundreds of thousands of computers CAN DO IT AGAIN AT WILL IF YOU INSTALL THIS APP. No one in their right mind would trust someone so unethical. KEEP AWAY from this add-on. Instead use IE View Lite which does the same thing has no such history of mendacious betrayal. It all comes down to TRUST and these people have UNearned it!

does the job easily!
many thanks! :)

as for the many complains about Adware, it's easy to remove that from the extension Options:

open Firefox Add-ons Manager,
go to IE View extension,
click Options,
go to last tab "General options",
uncheck "Use price comparison (WizeShoppy)"

and there you go!

Version 1.5.6, which has been approved by AMO reviewers, is still ADWARE.
We should uninstall it or downgrade to 1.5.1, which is completely clean and the last version by original developer.

I've been using this for years, but now that it's bundled with Adware, I'm switching to IE View Lite: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ie-view-lite/

Latest release includes adware from Wizeshoppy.
Been using this for ages but dumping it now.

There are plenty of other apps that do the same thing in the addon shop now, without bloat from adware. No reason to use this one.

delete this one promptly.

Used to be a good add-on in that it simply did what it described - launched a page being viewed in FF in IE, but appears to have weaponized itself with adware. It now has a component to hook you into something called "WizeShoppy". Too bad - it was handy. This add-on should be removed from the official add-on pages.

This used to be a decent Firefox add-in. Recently, they started including advertising junk from superfish.com, and now includes marketing links, (there is even a tab on the configuration to turn on more marketing/tracking).
