WordswithMeaning! (or WordMean for short) is an online editorial with many purposes - to be free without paywalls, to oppose the sensationalist media & to provide meaningful articles, news reports and subject discussions.
About this Add-on
WordswithMeaning! (or WordMean! for short) is a fully independent and alternative suppressed news/editorial website, run by a team of passionate free-thinkers devoted to keeping the public informed about the more “meaningful” things in the news, with opinions, thoughts and our exclusive research on a wide variety of subjects.
We aim to triviality the media and all-for-profit news sources. We are entirely anti-authoritarian, anti-conservatism, anti-capitalist and we are blatantly against society’s isolation and disregard for society. The media need to know one thing – It’s not about entertainment and celebrities, it’s about the thousands of words that remain unspoken and the millions of voices silenced and forbidden to give their opinions.
Those who are part of the writing team don’t take everything seriously, and therefore they either write elegantly or they publish humorous and deprecating information in the hopes to get a point across. On the other hand, Don’t expect censorship.
What is this? Some sort of propaganda? Some Looney Paranoia website?
Trust is a word that shouldn’t be thrown around so loosely. Instead of trusting us, how about you consider us?
This purpose of WordswithMeaning! is not to suggest that all media outlets are unreliable, nor does it claim that it is more verifiable than other outlets. It would be simply impossible and exhausting for us to find evidence for every little thing we state. The 100% cold truth is unobtainable. However, the purpose is in fact to provide the shocking images, powerful claims and marginal views on the controversial subjects that many media outlets stray from due to either fear of criticism, public support or corporate sponsorship. The foundation of this very website and any project we specifically operate is to push shock treatment into the lives of the sceptics, the unthinking majority and the ones who are open to our coverage.
Does WordswithMeaning! utilise content as propaganda?
You might say this is all propaganda but the dictionary states that propaganda is “a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward a position.” And our content exists to encourage the audiences that the bigger picture is missing from the corporate broadcasting companies.
We have a municipal duty to inform all sides of the story, after all – the media is often known for telling people what the government wants them to hear, so why not call that propaganda?
Who provides us with the information and news?
Newswire’s, close anonymous sources, anonymous intelligence, citizen journalists and everyday insiders. We get our ‘headline’ information and brief facts from news services and often add our own commentary.
Why should you trust us?
We often don’t expect trust. We believe in the “don’t always believe everything you are told” manifesto strongly.
