Re DanM's review, see my comment on 25.1.20. There is still a bug in this add-on when starting TBird (at least, on my pc; and others have noted it too).
A quick workaround is to right-click the Mail Toolbar > type C (opens Customise Toolbar) > press Enter. I find until this is done Shift-G won't work and the file finder rectangle has extra borders.
A fix would make this fantastic add-on perfect.

I see that since my 6 Jan 20 comment this add-on has been updated. However the bug that I noted remains, preventing the folder selector/identifier from working when Thunderbird is first opened. The quickest way of performing the workaround is: right-click the Mail Toolbar - press C - press Enter.
Phillipp, it would be great if you could fix this bug in the next version... and thanks again for this excellent add-on.

Phillipp, thank you for all your hard work in restoring this must-have add-on to its former glory.
I have found one minor bug: when I launch Thunderbird, the folder selector/identifier is inoperable and appears as a series of nested rectangles, taller than the other icons on the Mail Toolbar and with an overall length of about 5cm on my laptop.
This can easily be rectified, by right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting Customise... and then Done (or just press Enter) which results in a single normal-height rectangle, with its length reduced to 3.5cm. The add-on will now work as intended.

I am bereft without this fantastic utility and its absence slows down my work rate. Please could you update it soon, Philipp! It is so useful - as these reviews show - that maybe Thunderbird should incorporate it into the core program and pay you a decent fee. Or doesn't it work like that?

I used to be a happy user, until the bug that others have mentioned appeared with the advent of TB 60.3. The add-on still worked, after a fashion... and then I realised how much CPU resource it was grabbing. I have now disabled it - result: less CPU heat, less fan noise. I hope to return to this useful add-on when the bugs are ironed out.
