NIce made, small in resources.
A folder with last emojis/ most in use would be a good idea.
Thank you for the efforts !!!

nice addon but a little bit slow and whats more sad: I cant edit after adding an emoji. The cursor disappears. Its not possible to write text next to the emoji -- Windows10 -- TB60

This add-on adds emojis in the correct way (unicode) but is only available when composing a HTML message. It would be nice to have a button in the main compose toolbar for the plain text messages!

Nice Add-on, only with a dark theme the icon selection icons aren't visible (black on dark gray). Please support dark themes.

Splendid!
Please make it work with TB 60!...

This add-on DOES use Unicode characters. Like it should be. So it is better than the other one, which inserted images, and created a huge privacy leak.
BUT: It still inserts HTML, to display the images for users who have the add-on installed. Which makes no sense, since it is a waste of data for users who don’t have it installed, which is almost everyone.
Example: <span class="emojione e1-1F98A"><span>

The emojis being inserted in the new version are bigger and more attractive and therefore superior.
However, they appear to be inserted in a weird way which causes the editor, at least on Linux (Thunderbird 52.1.1) to behave very oddly.
Try this:
1. Insert an emoji at the beginning of the message body.
2. Note that your text cursor disappears. Usually when this happens when you insert an image, you can make it come back by unfocusing the window and focusing again, but that doesn't work here. So, the disappearing cursor is a problem.
3. Try to move your cursor before the emoji you just typed so that you can add text before it. It's impossible.
4. Backspace to erase the emoji, then type ctrl-z to bring it back. You can't -- undo doesn't work.
I'm sure that all this is at least as much the fault of the editor as it is of the add-on, but it's still all a problem.

I like the ease of use, but unfortunately it seems to be deactivated in non-html-mode. Maybe that can’t be changed?
And the description has a bug: “utc-8 compliant” should be “utf-8 compliant”.
And the window displaying the icons is sometimes to small, therefore not displaying all icons.

Great add-on! The emojis are in full colour, and I have no issues displaying them after the author sent me a font file to add that wasn't default in Windows 7. Very fun and works great! New search feature is cool as well

I had a problem at first because I didn't have the necessary font file on my Windows 7 computer. The addon author quickly identified and resolved the problem. After that, the addon has worked exactly as I needed.

It is one of the must-have addons for the TB!
But unfortunately there is no Emoji font in Windows 7 by default. Please add these lines into overlay.css to make possible to use 'Symbola' font:
#emojiPopup {
font-family: "Symbola", symbola;
}
Thank you for the addon!

This addon do the job. But emoji are too small, so I must insert this HTML code at the top of my e-mail :
<style type="text/css">.moz-smiley-{font-size:1.5em;line-height:0.7em;vertical-align:-0.2em;font-family:'Apple Color Emoji','Segoe UI Emoji','Segoe UI Symbol','Android Emoji','EmojiSymbols','Symbol';}</style>
Could this CSS integration be added in an update ? Thanks in advance.

Allows you to insert all the current emoji you want to annoy your friends with. :) Unfortunately, only handles black and white emoji, rather than allowing color. Hoping that will be enabled sooner than later.
