Version 2.0
Email Cleaner, formerly Sender Email Utilities, now includes message cleanup tools in addition to sender-based filtering.
This release significantly expands the add-on from a sender lookup and filtering tool into a broader message cleanup utility for Thunderbird.
What’s new in v2.0:
1. Renamed the add-on from Sender Email Utilities to Email Cleanup Utilities for a clearer, more focused identity.
2. Added a new set of message cleanup actions in the Thunderbird message list context menu.
3. Added support for moving filtered messages to Junk.
4. Added support for moving filtered messages to Trash.
5. Added an option to move filtered messages to Trash while keeping the currently selected message.
6. Added support for sorting messages by junk status so junked messages appear at the top of the list.
7. Added support for permanently deleting junked messages.
8. Added confirmation prompts for destructive actions to reduce the chance of accidental deletion or movement.
9. Added menu icons and refreshed branding assets across the add-on.
10. Expanded permissions to support message moving, message deletion, and account lookup required by the new cleanup actions.
Existing functionality remains available:
1. Copy sender email address.
2. Copy sender email domain.
3. Filter messages by sender email address.
4. Filter messages by sender email domain.
