Doesn't work at all in TB 52.

disables the reply and forward button, not even possible to select these from the menu. It is the third time I am trying to install this add-on (few months apart) but now I give up...very disappointed

I'm disappointed that this isn't working. Tabs would add so much more functionality for composing messages vs window after window opening. I checked all add-on's one by one to to figure out which one was prohibiting use of the Reply button working, alas it is this add-on

This doesn't work for me, but I'm wondering if I'm using it properly? It disables Write, but gives me no alternative - what should I be seeing? Another tab? Sorry, but as it doesn't APPEAR to be working, I'll have to say one star - but if someone could tell me if I'm doing something wrong, then that could change! :-)

... if it worked. A pity it does not on my 17.0.5 - after installing this addon it is not possible to write any new message at all. Nothing happens, when I click the "new message" button: neither new window nor new tab. So I deinstalled again and really hope that you will succeed in completing this needed add-on. The idea is perfect! Best would be if Thunderbird could implement this important feature anyway. I am so annoyed of switching between windows when I have to look up or want to copy something from another message. Good luck guys and hang on!

doesn't work, cannot write an answer or a mail if enabled.
Isn't there an alternative to Thunderbird standard HTML editor?

is there a version for 17.0.2 (mac os)???

Installing this add-on completely removes the ability to start a new message from within Thunderbird, and clicking on a Mailto link from outside opens the default composition window. Using TB 17.x

hello.

does not work in version 14 of the tb. why? I need a lot of it, anyone know an equivalent

Hi,

The addon is unmaintained, I just leave it online in case someone wants to pick it up and bring it back into shape.

Cheers,

Can you make this compatible with Postbox http://www.postbox-inc.com/extensions, i really like it in TB. But miss the feature to be able use the standard compose write functions without FCKeditor. Thanks for a grate plugin, this is how all email software should have as standard, not all this ******* cluttering windows everywere.... all things should be in there container no were else...

Good Add On, but missed the basic functionality of including the mail history, Signature. Even I couldn't send the mail also :(

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

ONE BIG BUG, maybe I did not find out how to do it but I always use a signature from an HTML file configured in Thunderbird and your addon does NOT automatically put this signature and it would be pretty crucial seeing that I use Thunderbird in a company.

Seriously, 3 thumbs up for this, absolutely amazing! and good work up to now!

Good application
Two problems:
- the signature is NOT added to the message;
- the drug and drop does not work to attach files.
please fix it.

Nice Plugin Except One Critical BUG :

Please Release one more alpha version with just fixing the space ( ) issue, [when you compose message with spaces & sent then recipients getting that space is didplayed as ' '] this is a bit itchy , except that everything is good. you can solver other issues later , but please release a version with this fix , this is very important , if there is no official release , just suggest me to get the developement build with issue fixed

I agree with many people above, that it's great to be able to compose emails in a new tab rather than a new window. The editor is fine, though I also had no probems with Tbird's editor. I chose to disactivate the feature because it was not compatible with the "send later" function for offline use. I hope Tbird adds the tabbed composer feature in a later release!

Excellent idea. I would love the “compose in a tab” feature.

I agree with KiwiChick in asking if it would be possible to have the option to display the standard TB compose GUI while composing in a tab?

Five Stars - For taking on this incredibly difficult project.
Thank You
