You can easily color code your account folder icons in Thunderbird 78+ using the built-in folder-color changer (in folder > Properties).

I enjoyed using this add-on to keep my personal and work email accounts visually organized in Thunderbird. Was very disappointed when it stopped working, until I found the work around. Hope this add-on gets updated soon.
