I noticed starting with FF 17 when you try to download a link to a .mkv file, FF will try to open it in the browser and fails saying the video is corrupt instead of downloading the file. Disabling this addon fixed it.

Rated 1 out of 5 stars
You realize that providing a program that auto-copies text and having an option that allegedly sends anonymous statistics somewhere makes people worried right?
Your privacy policy says you gather info about all the websites we visit and all the search terms we make. Why do you need this info? How does knowing the websites we visit and especially the searches we make help improve the function of this add-on?
This is no doubt a useful extension but the privacy issues are troubling. I think it would make all of us feel better if you got rid of this statistics gathering option.
Gmail Manager NG
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I used the original GM in the past and this one seems to work great. I still prefer my current addon, Gmail Checker, because I can delete, archive, mark as read, my email right from the toolbar instead of having to load the gmail page. It's way more convenient.
But this is still a good extension and I would go back to this if I couldn't use Gmail Checker. The one advantage this has over Gmail Checker is that each account can be configured to check mail at different intervals, where as Gmail Checker only has one setting that applies to every account.
I also prefer Gmail Checker's way of organizing the accounts. Having all accounts and email previews under a single toolbar icon.
If you can add these things to Gmail Manager I would switch over in a heartbeat!
User Agent Switcher
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
When it's working it works well but there are some bugs with it. Your user agent will get reset to default after every restart unless you add an entry to about:config. Create a new boolean entry 'useragentswitcher.reset.onclose' and set it to false. That will fix the reset problem.
Then there's the issue of Agent Switcher not working at all sometimes. For some reason Agent Switcher won't work on my main profile for FF 11. It installs but the user agent list is blank and nothing happens when I import a list and creating a new user agent doesn't work either. I had to create a new profile for it to work. On FF Nightly (FF 13) I never had any problems. Strange.
The UA list that comes with the addon is pretty weak. I don't know why the developer doesn't include a full updated list. It wouldn't be hard to do. I went to http://techpatterns.com/forums/about304.html to download a fairly recent updated list. So this addon can work but be prepared to tweak it if necessary.
Find In Numbers
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works fine but would be more useful if it also showed which search number you were currently viewing. For example if there were 10 matches for a search word and you were looking at the 3rd one from the top of the page then it should say 3/10 or 3 of 10. I think that would be more helpful.

Leave it to a savvy FF user to come up with a solution that the FF developers could not or would not do for years. I've been supremely annoyed by torrent files not opening automatically even though I have the option checked to "do this automatically..." This add-on makes them all work now. This is a must-have if you've been frustrated by files not doing what you want, which I think is almost all FF users out there.
Kudos to Kai for this add-on. You have eased the suffering of one more FF user. One suggestion though. You might want to change the name of this add-on to a better sounding name; something more intuitive so people that are searching for an add-on for this problem can come across it and recognize it easier. How about: Do This Automatically For Real!
Addons Manager Hilite
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Yes! I thought I was the only one that noticed this annoying issue in FF4. I hate when I'm reading the details of an add-on near the bottom of the menu and then when I go back it resets to the top! Can't believe nobody from Mozilla had a problem with this. Thanks firefox lady!!

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on is the perfect complement to Adblock Plus to get rid of those annoying pop-up windows when you visit a website and does so quickly and effectively.
I was using Blocksite before but it always opened a blank tab when blocking pop-ups. And Leechblock doesn't fully block the content from loading and also opens a useless tab. Blocksite is also annoying to use because there is no right click context menu to immediately add the offending site to the filter list. You have to constantly go through the options menu to add a site. This add-on has an easy right-click context menu to quickly add the url to the filter list.
To be fair, Blocksite is a general website blocker and not an official popup blocker. I don't think it's as useful as this add-on because I can avoid websites I don't want to go to but I can't stand pop-up windows that force me to load and look at their website. It would be nice if the developer also added the ability to block websites, because blocking malicious sites can be useful. I think the whitelist/blacklist feature in this add-on should be used for that purpose, since we can now add the pop-up's url to Adblock Plus.
Thanks for this add-on!
OptimizeGoogle
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
I was happy when this add-on took over CustomizeGoogle but it seems it was only a brief revival. It was already a little outdated when it came out, with many things not working properly but now it's been almost 5 months without an update. Currently, I think very few things are functioning in this add-on. Maybe we need another add-on to takeover THIS add-on.
In the meantime I'm using greasemonkey scripts to mimic many functions of this add-on and I might not need this anymore even if they finally do update it.
Intelligent Middle Clickums
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I remember using Smart Middle Click a long time ago then I forgot about it until I ran into a page with javascript links. I saw this new addon and installed it but it didn't help me on this page http://www.dccomics.com/mad/?action=past_madness
Anyone know why?
Go Parent Folder
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This should be a normal feature of firefox. It is so annoying when you search for a bookmark but it doesn't tell you what folder it is in. Thanks for this addon!
Oh yea after installing I highly recommend you check the option 'Disable select parent folder in Sidebar' in case you decide to delete the bookmark it won't delete the entire folder also!
CheckPlaces
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I used this to download favicons for my bookmarks and it worked very well and quickly. It also checks for duplicates and to see if the websites are still working which is nice. The only problem I noticed is that it always seems to hang near the end when you're checking the bookmarks. It never seems to finish checking the last few bookmarks. I can click Cancel and everything else is fine, it still shows the results so it's just this one little thing. Best bookmark and favicon checker I've used yet.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5.2).Favicons Downloader
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It downloads the favicons for a good number of bookmarks but it doesn't get all of them. Maybe about 50-65% get downloaded. Also it seems a little on the slow side. But I don't see a lot of favicon downloaders around so I hope the developer keeps working on this! Thanks I give it 3.5 stars.
Update: I upgraded to FF 3.5 so this doesn't work anymore but I found a much better add-on. It is called CheckPlaces https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10897 and works for FF 3.0 as well. It has a lot more functions and is very fast when checking websites. It checked almost 800 bookmarks in 2 or 3 minutes where as this one took like 10-15 minutes.
CustomizeGoogle
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
As many have said, this addon seems to be abandoned. It's a shame because I find it essential to websurfing. I hope someone can take the reins and continue working on it. That said, I think most of the functions still work. Other reviewers have offered a fix for the direct image linking and it works.
But another problem is the streaming images get stuck in an infinite reloading on google images. A refresh of the page usually fixes it but it's still annoying. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Simple Timer
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've looked at all the other timer extensions for firefox and this is the best one I've seen. Nice and simple and has just about everything you need.
Some suggestions: A sleep function for the notification would be great. Option to show seconds in the clock and milliseconds in the countdown. Maybe a lap feature for the countdown. Put a reset button in the countdown time entry. Have the clock change back to icon if we want.
Great extension please keep updating it!
Firefox Throttle
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Been looking for something like this for a long time. I have to share a connection and can't be hogging up all the bandwidth. It can take like half a minute for the speed to throttle back to your custom setting. Works pretty well.
One little nitpick: can you add an option to only show Firefox Throttle's activation icon in the status bar? I don't need the d/l or u/l speed status since I already have another extension for that--StatusbarEx. If I had more room on the statusbar I wouldn't mind it but I'm running out of space!
Also when you close and restart firefox, FT should remember if it was turned on or off the last time. The Save As Default option in FT might be better if it only applies to the d/l and u/l speeds? Anyways, nice extension!
FoxTab
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It's pretty good but there are some issues. I have my desktop resolution at 1024x768 and the foxtab options window will not fit on the screen. It cuts off the OK and cancel buttons so I can't apply the changes. I had to change resolution to do it. Make the window more horizontal instead of vertical.
Also, once I'm in the foxtab window, clicking on a tab in the tab bar does not go to that tab. Nothing happens. You should make it so that it closes the foxtab window and opens that tab.
The alt-tab key works, but the scrolling order in the tab bar does not correspond to the scrolling order in the foxtabs window. (maybe tab mix plus issue?)
Furthermore, the foxtabs window will take a long time to load if there are any new, untitled tabs in the tab bar. The more blank tabs you have the longer it takes to load. I know most people probably won't have a bunch of blank tabs in their tab bar but it might be an issue with something else. Even 2 blank tabs makes it lag for a few seconds.
I know it's still in beta so keep working on it. May be useful.
Active Stop Button
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This should be a standard feature of firefox. I hate when I open a lot of tabs at once and if one of them is seriously hogging bandwidth or resources it feels like the whole browser is dying and it's too unresponsive to check the tabs so I like being able to stop all tabs. Great extension!

Rated 3 out of 5 stars
It works well for youtube, but I don't know why this has to replace the original video screen with a blank area. It's better to have a screenshot of the video so you get an idea of what it is. Also, it doesn't seem to work for myspace. I went on a lot of myspace pages and the music would constantly auto-play. If you gave an option to show the original video screen and improved the myspace music problem this extension would be much better
