Any news on this, it seems this extension has been abandoned by the developer.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.5). This user has a previous review of this add-on.Sorry, but I just did not know how to transfer it and it was pretty difficult to find the necessary information. The API is now much more complete.

As for me I would prefer option to move all emails after hitting "y" or press a special toolbar button to a specific folder for all senders and receivers.

This is the best addon I have installed in Thunderbird. Therefore I'm really sad that it doesn't seem to work in Thunderbird version 31.

Several complaints about the filemail add-on failing in TBird v. 31.0 have gone unaddressed. Why can't/doesn't Moziilla require the developers of add-ons to address issues as they occur? Where does Heinz Tschabitscher fit is all this?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.1). This user has a previous review of this add-on.I did not read the comments for a long time. I just noticed yesterday that it does not work, as you did, when I upgraded my thunderbird. There will be a fix as this severly impedes my workflow

This has been a very useful tool for me and with 1 change I would give it 5 stars. Make filemail recognize the inbox of the account were any given email was received as well as the folder the email is moved into. That way, if you have multiple email accounts with any given sender emailing to more than 1 email account filemail would be able to move the email to the correct folder according to the inbox of the account where it was received.

I too had problems as mentioned by the 1st post Petr Venzhofer ( 4 Dec, 2011). The tabs in firefox got blocked, and everything, like dialogboxes and tabs didnot display. I had to start mozilla in safe mode ( shift + double click on mozilla thunderbird exe file ) and then disable this addon. After that, it resumed to normal condition.

That sounds strange, could you please file a bug
https://code.google.com/p/filemailextension/issues/list and describe what other extensions have been installed and at which OS?

Good (useful) extension. More visual feedback would make it really useful.
The problem for now is, one is not sure where the message will be moved after pressing "y". Suggestion for improvement:
Make it necessary to press "y" two times. After the first hit, show the location the message would be moved for 0.5-1 sec. If the user thinks the path is correct, he presses "y" again while the popup is displayed an then the message will be moved.

Generally, this is a cleaver and useful tool for rapidly sorting messages, HOWEVER, if you use mail filters that move mail from the server inbox to a local inbox, that Move confuses all the associations of folders with Senders set up for Filemail. In essence, the filter replaces all the associations last set up with Filemail. I am not sure this can be fixed, but it limits utility in my case.

Great extension if you use tabs. I like reading email in full screen (new window) and it doesn't work in full screen. Any chance of adding that functionality? Thanks

Like it so far, some visual feedback would be nice
especially an column in the message list showing which (if any) folder is associated with this sender. Possibly an UI so you can inspect and maybe edit/delete associations.
The SQLite Manager (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5817/) does exactly what you want.
