The add-on “Search Button” seems to be maintained and is compatible with Thunderbird 115.

Es funktioniert bei mir leider nicht.

ERGÄNZUNG:
Das Add-on tut, was es soll und lässt sich meist "normal" installieren.

Was waren meine Probleme?

1. Die normale Installation geht so:
"Extras" --> "Add-ons und Themes" .

~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml
ein Zeile so aus:
<property name="focus_hint" type="bool" value="true"/>

Die Installation kann abgeschlossen werden.

Hi there,
I would love to have the possibility to open Global Search (Edit → Find → Global search) with a similar icon, do you have any hint?
Thx!

Hi!
Thanks for the 5 stars - unfortunately I'm not aware of a Global Search button, sorry!
Best Regards

Thank you for a great add-on!
Very good because it also allows easy search of the calendar. You need to enable the button via customise toolbar to do this.

Danke.

Top! Functional and easy. Thank You!
I use an 4K monitor and the symbol seems a little bit small, but no problem at all: Better small than no Search Button!

I'm happy that you like my Add-on.
Unfortunately I have no influence on the size of the symbol - this is defined by Thunderbird itself. If you want to address this, maybe you can make a post here:

Thank you! I really needed that.
I recently upgraded from (very) old version 3.1.20 to 78 and the seach bar was removed.
Glad to get it back with one click!

Works like a charm!
(And I really don't understand why this is not a standard feature of Thunderbird.)
