Mozilla Archive Format, with MHT and Faithful Save

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this add on for ages. It has been immensely useful, among the most useful of all extensions I'd say without exaggeration. However,I have learned this this invaluable add on is now deprecated and in fact, will no longer be usable with future builds of FF beyond November. This is a mistake. This functionality should be built in to FF not removed completely.

I urge the developers to incorporate this add on as an out-of-the-box feature in future releases of FF rather than kill it off completely.

Mozilla Archive Format, with MHT and Faithful Save

This should already be an integrated feature of Firefox, it shouldn't be an add-on. It's just too good a feature to not include by default really. It makes a big difference to me as I like to save and read offline and archive for reference.

Oh, big by the way to others who may be having problems saving images in Firefox using v 3.0.3. After the recent FF update Save as... stopped working for images. By a process of elimination the culprit turned out to be this add on. So you need to upgrade to this latest version and everything will be restored. The FF update didn't detect the add on as incompatible but something about it is!

That said, thanks and terrific work.

UnMHT

Firefox is broken without this addon IMO. I had no idea that the author had abandoned the software and ceased further development of this essential add on. I have hundreds and hundreds of MHT files, so I am quite dependent on the add on. I can't find an original version of 5.6.9.12 of this add on, only from download sites. I notice that others have made the add on available in their reviews, but I don't know how safe this is. I would like a trusted source really. I tried the Mozilla archive add on but it does not open the MHT archives after creation, and the MAFF files don't accurately capture the pages. Some problems with CSS alignments and text I noticed. Real shame or I would have switched.
