This STILL works, even up to version 11.0 of Thunderbird, but you will need to edit the maxversion to read 11.* in the install.rdf file which is inside the XPI (addon) file. It can be opened as a .ZIP file.

The addon is quite nice, and immediately gives you an address sidebar and an addons sidebar without having to add anything additional.

I was very unhappy when I upgraded to Tbird 3.1.6 and xSideBar 0.6 was disabled as incompatible. I found version 0.7 and am so happy to have my sidebar back!!! http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/tsidebar/index.html

I have Tb 3.0.4 and xSidebar does not work correctly, I assume. I can open the sidebar, bu it's useful because Add buttons not work. Some other experience?!

nice try, but it really just doesn't work very well. it takes up too much space not being able to stack under the folders sidebar AND like everyone else says - the contacts sidebar just doesn't work for anything other than viewing. the options/buttons to email the contact, cc, bcc, etc - just don't do anything.

I'm facing an issue where as long as the Sidebar is open (as in, not hidden) i can't Write a new email.
not by right clicking a contact and selecting to "Compose Email To" and not by clicking on the "Write" button.
Closing the Sidebar resolves the issue...

any ideas?

Good add-on. I withdrew my previous message which was a bug report with TB3

This would be even better if the today pane was integrated into the sidebar. Other than that i like it...

I am thinking that this is a good start. It can be more!
I like the instant access to contacts and Add-Ons, but I would like to see a switchable window to include the Folders sidebar. If this could be integrated it would be great. A button to quickly access the side bar sow/hide would also be a great addition.
I would also suggest navigation buttons on the top menu bar of the side bar for quicker access from one window to the next.
This by no means "all-in-one-sidebar" and it was not meant to be, nor should it be modeled in the same fashion.
I like what is happening here, and hopefully more options will be made available as a replacement for the folders sidebar.
I will be watching this Add-On.
