Hi! Thanks for this long needed utility!
There is one simply feature missing which would propably make this much easyer and simpler to use for many user. It is identifying location with reverse host. Every time Thunderbird starts extension would detect your reverse hostname (example simple http request to http server and response contains hostname - this would work behind local networks using NAT too. I have several LAN's using same ip areas so this doesn't work for me quite well).
So user just need to put domain(s) for every location to use correct SMTP-server. He wouldn't need to know which IP adresses that ISP - for example - is using.
Regards, Aki
Hello AkiKettu,
Since SMTP Control 0.2.0 you have the ability to enable a "Remote Network Properties Webservice", that is using reverse IP address lookup to find location informations or domain name or even hostname. Have a look at advanced tab in location definition to enable this service.
