Just wanted to add my voice in that I really miss this add-on since upgrading to Thunderbird 78. I sincerely hope you have plans to update it for compatibility with this latest version.

Stopped working after update from TB 60 to 68.7.0. (I updated whole Xubuntu to 19.10 version.)

Hey, thanks to the contributors for their (unpaid) work! Porting to 68+ will take a lot of time. A "gofundme" approach might collect the resources for you to proceed development.
Until then, I rather rollback Thunderbird because "Markdown Here" is fucking amazing!

I use this for about two thirds of my outgoing emails to get a neat and professional look. It's easy to use. Anything more than just a few words, I compose my emails in my text editor and paste them over to Thunderbird, then hit the conversion button, and if I'm happy with the look, I send. This workflow of mine avoids any glitches between Thunderbird's somewhat mysterious WYSIWYG-ish text formatting for outgoing stuff and Markdown Here's two different states (applied, and not-applied).

I always miss you just after sending email written with syntax.
Even if so, pretty syntax!

#### Markdown Here 2.13.2
The freeze has been fixed,
but this version hits the XML parse error below, on clicking [Setting] button...
```
XML パースエラー: 定義されていない実体が使用されています。
#### Markdown Here 2.12.0
Thunderbird freezes on clicking [Setting] button of Markdown Here in Addon Manager.
Although, Markdown Here itself does work in mail creation screen.
Works well with OWA (Web Outlook client of Exchange server). Great idea to parse Markdown on the client side and make it universally available at the hand. Thanks dev! Good luck with the awesome addon!
