Useless now, as said in another review. Simply press "alt", and the menu bar is shown, and "alt" again, and it's hidden.

I tried it strictly to recover my menu bar in full-screen mode, but it doesn't work in full-screen mode.

As the previous interviewer said:
No Point if you have Firefox 17 or later and Microsoft Windows XP.

If you right click the TOOLBARS above and remove Menu to the selection It Activates the Menu being placed to the Titlebar and reveals the menu bar when ALT is pressed.

Does what it says.
Does not popup the menu if using a alt+other_key shortcut. Perfect!

"This addon has become obselete" is not true!It still has its purpose on linux machines. Sure one could press F10 but giving up habits is hard, also the Firefox dropdown-button on the right side (shouldn't it be on the left side?) is not set to be visible with this addon.

I really love this plugin, but there is a little problem for me. When I write in polish (or italian) and want to insert some alternate graphic letter (like ą, ć, ń) I have to hold down first AltGr key. Then often I get the menubar pop-out and it's pretty annoying. You can fix my problem simply by disabling ALTGR key. Just leave ALT and F10 to show menubar - and leave ALTGR to be used for accented letters. Thank you!

This addon has become obselete , as this functionality has got integrated in new firefox versions ( Alt Key ) .
I thank to developer for the wonderful past experience provided by this addon

Hello,
i realy like this plugin (especially under ubuntu) but as the title says, ther is a small bug. If I'm running TB the menu bar is shown. Only after pressing the "ALT" key one times the manu bar is hidden as it should be, As I had mentioned in title I use your plugin in the current 13.0 beta 2 version of TB (i think that this doesn't matter but) on win 7 x64. Would you please fix this? :)

Simply brilliant!
Should be a default firefox option.
Many thanks.

Works on Pale Moon too. Just what this browser needed. Thank you.
Just had a thought: now that you made the browser so much more netbook-friendly.... could you make it work in full-screen mode? If so, then this would be one of the best add-ons ever.

I have a brilliant feature request: can you also hide the bookmarks bar and show them together (when the user move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen)?

Needs support fo TB 9.0.1 as it will automatically show the menu bar when the mouse hover over it or by pressing ALT. TB 9x could only hide it and cannot automatically show the menu bar again. Tks!

Thunderbird 9 has this feature built-in, right click on the menu bar and uncheck it.
This add-on is no longer needed, thanks to the author for providing as an workaround so far.
