encrypted google dot com is blocked here, so it doesn't work. I just wanted to force google dot com.
the problem is now.. how do I uninstall this extension? it's not in my extensions..
Hi! Thanks for the review. Sorry the add-on couldn't help you out. All this add-on does is add a search engine to your Firefox browser. You can manage your search engines and remove this one through the URL "about:preferences#search" (without the quotation marks). Just copy that into your address bar and hit enter to see a list of and manage all your search engines.

翻墙之后,FF的默认google总会跳转到当地的google站点,造成的问题是搜索结果的工具按钮没有“只显示中文结果”,用了这个就OK了

Make that 10, Googles forever redirecting to where you don't want to be pisses one off no end, and this sorts it :)

The list of top matches for a search on the search bar is often not displayed fully but cropped to 3, 2 or only 1 entry. I can still navigate those matches with the keyboard, but being able to see 10 at a time (as is Firefox's original behavior) would be really fine.

Works as advertised for searches in the URL bar, thanks a lot. However it doesn't work in the search bar, which is problematic when other people use the browser and are confused why the search bar is unresponsive, and is also problematic if you specifically want to use the search bar for auto completion

It won't install. it says "Sorry, you need a Mozilla-based browser (such as Firefox) to install a search plugin." I have the latest version of Firefox.

I've been using this 'addon' for a very long time but it wasn't working as it should anymore, so I modified the XML to this URL and it seems to be working now, you should try it and update the addon if it comes to it
https://www.google.com/search?hl=en-US&gws_rd=cr&q={searchTerms}
'&hl=en' wasn't working the same way as before, so I changed to en-US(not sure if needed, just a glitch maybe), and it looks like 'gws_rd=cr' makes it stick with whatever domain you're using.

Thank you for fixing a very irritating problem. New search (ff 36.1) prevented me from using the search I want - forced me on local Google with no control. This fixes/patches my problem. Works like a charm, very happy I found this.

Currently it does not do what it should. As the auther mentions, it may work on the first search, but not on subsequent.
It is not necessary to use encrypted.com, just add &hl=en to your search term, e.g. https://www.google.de/search?q=search+term&hl=en.
This should be done by the addon.
You can make a simple bookmark with this search term:
http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#hl=en&q=%s
Then add a keyword in it's properties, e.g. "g". Then you can search using your address bar, by "g search term".

It's working for me for three days: I'm using FF V35.0.1 Thanks a lot for this: for some reason Google thinks I'm in Mexico for about three weeks now, and it was driving me insane.

Currently not working for me having worked well in the past.
Doesn't seem to support instant search suggestions either.
