The latest update (as of 2024-11-04) does not recognize some email accounts that previously were being configured with Advanced Composer. Please help. Prior to this update the add-on was working fine.
(Update 2024-11-13)
Developer response was very quick to resolve this issue. Now the add-on is working fine as before. Keep up the good work.
Please provide more information about the issue you encountered here: https://gitlab.com/codergit/advanced-composer-extension/-/issues
Basically I need the following information:
- Thunderbird version
- Advanced Composer addon version
- the addon features that did not work
- account type (is it IMAP, POP3 or something else?)

I like it very much and use it long time.
After automatic update to the latest version, I now have a problem when replying:
The first line is no longer Segoe UI (my font for signature and compose) but always Variable Width (I cannot change it in TB setting either).
Could you help take a look at it? Thanks.
Update on 7 July:
I only use "quote header" and "signatures" and all other default settings.
I just removed the version 3.0 and installed version 2.6 and now everything works well. I will stick to 2.6. Thanks.
Though I don't seem to be able to reproduce the issue, I can only guess it is because the features 'Message template' and 'Signature' are not enabled.
Try enabling them first and see whether the issue is solved. If the issue persists, please open an issue https://gitlab.com/codergit/advanced-composer-extension/-/issues
EDIT:
Default font handling behaviour has been reverted back to pre 3.0.

Useless. TB or addon cannot see my fonts, therefore cannot choose them for composing at all.
Update:
Documentation: «For Linux based systems, install msttcorefonts package for standard fonts. Without this package you will not find any fonts listed on General tab and the WYSIWYG editor of the option page of this extension.»
Pst! I am on Windows 10x64 WITH ms core fonts included off the shelf
So, it means you didn't read the documentation left? I mean right?

I've used Signature switch for years, and know of nothing better. Most of my email is S/MIME or PGP encoded, required for sensitive material security. I usually use the latest Thunderbird release, 115.11.1 (64-bit) at this writing. I use Signature Switch under both Windows and Ubuntu Linux.
Here is a list of Pro's and Con's from my experience.
Pro:
- Multiple signatures allowed (Full for outside communication, contact only for internal communication)
- Easy to use, button is top right of a Compose window
- Allows inclusion of inline images (secure email doesn't allow links to external sites for this information)
- Generally works well!
Con:
- Forces signature to be at the bottom of the message as opposed to inserting signature inline at the cursor for replies (reason for 4 star rating, this is a problem) [solution is to copy/paste the signature where it's needed from the bottom of the message]

Hi Prasetyo!
This is the only extension, that allows your to work with templates separetely with each account. It's very convenient!
Please, add the ability to use Plain Text format of templates into HTML mail's.
Thanks a lot!
Yes, including plain text string to both plain and HTML messages is something this addon will be capable of doing once the next version is released.

There is a BUG that avoids the TO field to be formatted according to the rules (it only displays the NAME, NOT the email address). This does not happen with CC (it honors the rules)
I wanted a replacement for another ADD-ON that is not compatible with TB 115, and this "almost" does it!
Another issue is the FONT SIZE that cannot be defined without using the only font available in the configuration.
You should check out this one: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/enhancedreplyheaders/
It allows almost everything a user should want (BUT... it has a problem... if formats the header inside a TABLE!!! I just HATE it!!!)
The next version will have the TO field fixed.
Regarding the font, as I already answered on the other review I want to keep what the addon does have now to preserve consistency. However after reviewing the quote header of messages from Ms Outlook (desktop version), I notice that apparently there are two styles: one is Tahoma 10pt and Calibri 11pt. So I will consider to add one additional option to accommodate this style. When the user selects Calibri its size will be automatically set to 11pt.

It is a good extension, but it try to force use Tahoma font in quote header, if it is not desired it's necessary to manually change the font each time to send an e-mail.
It also force to use a line bar in quote header, I couldn't find a way to remove the line. In my case this line bar split my e-mail from my signature that is automatically placed by mail server before quote header.
If wasn't for it, it could be a good replacement for 'ReplyWithHeader' that still does not support Thunderbird 115.1.1
Edit: About line bar, thanks, it worked fine.
About the font, actually at least in Outlook Web, as well as in e-mails I receive, it is Calibri.
Tahoma displays as monospaced to me, I know I can just install Windows fonts, but I'm not confident wether all my contacts have this font. It should be Calibri that is currently used by Outlook, or let me to choose.
I think the reason one uses a quote header in Outlook style is to make it look consistent when exchanging messages with those who are using Ms Outlook. From my experience, message replies I received from those users always use Tahoma. So this is intentional and I do not plan to change it.
To remove the message boundary line, you only need this recipe: from the quote header options dialog set the delimiter to "||html". Be advised, the double quotes are not part of the recipe.
