Thunderbird add-on: play different new-mail sounds using rules (sender, domain, subject, body, regex), per-account & default sounds, drag-to-reorder priority, JSON import/export, and optional light/dark theme + UI language for the settings page.
O doplňku
SoundMail lets you play different notification sounds for new mail in Thunderbird, based on rules, per-account sounds, and a default fallback.
What you can do
Formats: MP3, WAV, and OGG. Sounds are stored inside the extension settings (base64).
❗ Tip: keep notification clips small for best performance (short sounds also work better as “signals”).
⚠️ Note: To prevent double notifications, please turn off the built-in Thunderbird sound. SoundMail will handle all audio alerts according to your rules.

What you can do
- Rules: match sender email/domain, subject, body, and regex-style matching; combine conditions with AND/OR.
- Priority: higher priority is checked first; drag rules by the handle to reorder quickly (you can still edit numeric priority in the rule dialog).
- Per-account sounds: assign a sound to each mail account (used when no rule matches).
- Default sound: plays when nothing else matches.
- Import / Export: backup and restore your settings as a JSON file (includes rules, sounds, on/off state, theme, and UI language choice).
- Options UI: light / dark / system theme, optional UI language override for the settings page, and a compact popup to open settings.
