O doplňku
Thunderbird does not show notifications for messages that are automatically moved to subfolders by message filters upon arrival. I personally have around 300 filters that sort incoming emails from various contacts into their respective folders. When a new message arrives and is immediately moved by a filter, Thunderbird's built-in notifications are not triggered — they only work for messages that remain in the Inbox.
Before Thunderbird version 104, I used the Mailbox Alert add-on, which handled this perfectly. However, after that update the developer stopped maintaining it, and I could not find any alternative solution. That's why I built this add-on myself — I've been using it for over a year now. I decided it was time to share it with others who likely face the same issue.
Features:
Notifications for filtered mail in any folder
Click a notification to bring Thunderbird into focus and open the message
Smart grouping: multiple simultaneous messages show as a single notification
Configurable polling interval (10–300 seconds)
System folders (Sent, Trash, Junk) are automatically excluded
Requires Thunderbird 128 or later.
