NestorAI works inside Thunderbird to help analyze emails, suggest actions, prepare drafts, assist with filing, and generate recaps.

To provide these features, the add-on may locally access email data such as subject, participants, message text, folders, and related metadata required for processing.

When the user selects a supported remote AI provider, NestorAI may send the message subject, participants, and cleaned message body to the configured provider in order to generate an analysis, a draft, or a recap. When the user selects a local AI service through localhost, processing stays on the user's machine.

NestorAI does not use remote code, does not inject remote scripts, and does not include separate analytics telemetry. Connection secrets such as API keys are excluded from backup exports.

Data generated by the add-on, such as settings, local history, recaps, and functional logs, is stored locally in Thunderbird to support the add-on's features. The user remains in control of automatic features, provider choice, and whether a cloud or local service is used.

NestorAI does not sell user data and does not share it with services other than the AI provider explicitly configured by the user when that mode is used.
