Seems to work OK, and even lets me choose the calendar, which I don't think the Gmail one does. Only suggestion I have is that I notice it works in half hour chunks, for example if I have an email with a 10:45 appointment, the plugin offers 10:30 as the start time. I'd prefer if it got the exact time to save me editing.

Update: Argh. Clashes with Thunderbird Conversations which over-rules the button bar :(

Over the last couple of months, this add-on has gotten so much better. The dev is super responsive when it comes to fixing bugs or dropping new features. I absolutely love it. It’s a total must-have, especially nowadays when your inbox is constantly flooded with meeting requests and to-dos.

the blue "create event" button is "greyed" out, under Linux Mint 22.3

The “Add as appointment” button in the toolbar worked for the test appointments.
It does not work via the button in the “#header-view-toolbox”.
