Validates Email Original seals in received messages and adds a seal when sending from registered accounts, helping detect impersonation and tampered email.
O doplňku
Email Original verifies the authenticity of received messages by validating their Email Original seal and allows a seal to be generated and inserted when sending messages from registered accounts.
Validating received messages
Open the Email Original panel from a message to check its status:
Received messages can be validated from any account configured in Thunderbird. The account does not need to be registered with Email Original.
Sending messages with a seal
A registered account is required to generate and insert an Email Original seal. When a message is sent from a registered account, the add-on requests the corresponding PIN, generates the seal, inserts it at the top of the message and continues with the normal Thunderbird sending process.
Other features
The add-on communicates with the Email Original remote service to validate and generate seals and to perform account operations. If the service is unavailable, the add-on displays “Service error”.
Validating received messages

- Valid: the seal was successfully validated.
- Not valid: the seal was rejected.
- Not secure: an issue related to the seal date was detected.
- No seal: the message does not contain an Email Original seal.
- Service error: the verification could not be completed.
