Privacy Policy - AitoMail for Thunderbird

1. Data Collection
This add-on does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

2. How Your Data Is Processed
When you use the "Summarize message" or "Prepare reply" features, the extension:
- Reads the currently displayed email content (sender, subject, date, body) using Thunderbird's built-in messagesRead API.
- Sends this content exclusively to your local Ollama instance running on your own machine (default: http://localhost:11434).
- Displays the AI-generated result directly in the extension popup.

All processing happens entirely on your local device. No data ever leaves your machine.

3. Network Requests
The extension makes HTTP requests ONLY to localhost (127.0.0.1) to communicate with your local Ollama installation. No external endpoints are contacted. No data is sent over the internet.

4. Storage
The extension stores user preferences (Ollama server URL, selected model, custom prompts, knowledge base) locally in Thunderbird's built-in extension storage (storage.local API). This data never leaves your device.

5. Third-Party Services
This extension does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or telemetry systems.

6. Open Source
This extension is open source under GPL-3.0 license. The source code can be reviewed to verify all of the above claims.
