Had to hit the addon site looking for a couple updates for Fx7 compatibility, and see this one hasn't been updated in five months: last update March 20, 2011, and last response in the support forum March 23, 2011. What a surprise. ;) I stopped using Gmail Manager addon the last time the dev picked up his ball and went home--there were no updates and no response or support from Jan2010-Jan2011. The only thing to change during that time was when he added the donation button, while the bug reports and bad reviews kept piling up. Dude fixes it for a few months, then takes off for a year at a time, leaving users trying to figure out a way to hack together fixes on their own. There are alternatives, people--just write this one off. Why frustrate yourself? This is an established pattern with this addon/dev. Gmail manager is a great idea, and nice when it works. But when it's not supported to keep up with Google's continuing changes, and especially now with Firefox on a regular release schedule, then what good is it?

Sad to not see any news from the developer--many of us need this functionality with 3.6. Can't find a way to override the version check for this addon, unfortunately. Is PM&S now abandonware?
Do any of my fellow users know of a comparable extension that offers similar ease of use in creating and switching profiles?

NOTICE: IF YOUR GMAIL MANAGER IS BROKEN:
Scroll down to "View Older Versions"
At the very top, you'll see a new version has been released, 0.5.7.5, and is listed as "experimental." Tick the checkbox and download the newest version and Gmail Mngr will again work fine.
I'm not the developer, so I don't know this for sure... but it looks to me like Gmail/Google changed their login procedure, and this new update fixes it.
I've downloaded and installed the newest version, and can confirm that it works perfectly again.
This is a wonderful extension... please don't downgrade its reputation with 1-star reviews for an easily fixable glitch.

My earlier comment noted a conflict with Personal Menu, which I attributed to UnMHT. I was wrong. After developing problems with the 3.5 RCs, I learned the problem was with Personal Menu itself. Uninstalled the stinker, and now UnMHT (and all my other extensions) are working just fine.

Check under "Old Versions", and install the most recent experimental version to fix the problem.

Dude, you just made my day! Thank you so much for taking over development of this addon. After using Opera, this functionality is an absolute necessity for me, and it was drove me nuts to be without when I upgraded from FF2 to FF3. THANK YOU!!
