Forget it. The developers have lost interest in this add-on and won't update it to handle newer versions of TB.

Congratulations Mozilla on giving us not only an email handler incompatible with previous add-ons, but also one that, using a different profile structure, makes it difficult to restore to an earlier version.
And congratulations to the writer of Mailbox Alert for not updating to this newer version of Thunderbird.
